An Ironman is one of the toughest endurance challenges in the world.

I’ve known pain in my life.

I’ve lost someone close to me… not because it was their time, but because they didn’t have the same chances, the same advantages. And that stays with you. The “what ifs.” The thought that maybe things could have been different. That maybe they should still be here.

That kind of loss changes you.

But even that… is nothing compared to what some children are living through right now.

There are children who don’t get to grow up the way they should.

Children who fall asleep in hospital beds instead of their own.

Children who see fear in their parents’ eyes, even when no one says a word.

Children who understand, far too early, how fragile life really is.

Some of them know their time might be short.

And still… they dream.

They don’t wish for money.
