Most days start before the sun comes up and end long after my daughter is asleep. I’m a single mom, and life moves fast — alarms, lunches, school drop-offs, work deadlines, business calls, laundry piles, bedtime stories… and then doing it all over again the next day.
I work a full-time job to keep the bills paid, and on top of that, I run my own business to try to build something better for our future. I’m proud of what I do, but truthfully, I’m tired. The kind of tired that coffee can’t fix. The kind of tired that comes from never really getting a break.
I love my daughter more than anything in this world. She is my reason for pushing forward, even on the days when I feel stretched thin. But being the only one responsible for everything — financially, emotionally, physically — can feel overwhelming sometimes.
Recently, my friends started planning a girls’ cruise. They talk about sunshine, laughter, ocean air, and sleeping without alarms. I smile and listen, happy for them… but deep down, I feel that familiar ache of knowing I can’t afford to go.
Not because I don’t want to — but because every extra dollar goes toward being a mom first.
Still, for the first time in a long time, I allowed myself to dream a little. To imagine what it would feel like to rest. To laugh with friends without worrying about schedules. To breathe, reset, and come home as a better, more energized mom.
That’s why I’m creating this GoFundMe.
My hope is to raise enough to join my friends on this cruise — and to bring my mom out to stay with my daughter while I’m away. Knowing my daughter is safe, loved, and cared for would make this break truly possible.
This isn’t about luxury. It’s about survival, rest, and giving myself permission to recharge after years of putting everyone else first.
If you’ve ever felt exhausted but kept going anyway…
If you’ve ever carried the weight of everything on your own…
If you believe that moms deserve care too…
Then thank you for reading my story.
Whether you donate, share, or simply send encouragement, it means more than you know. Every bit of support brings me one step closer to a few days of rest — and coming back home refreshed, grateful, and ready to keep showing up for my daughter the way she deserves.
From one tired but determined mama — thank you for helping me chase a small but meaningful dream. ☀️
