I'm starting this fund raiser for Dan Dougherty who's wife is a grade school friend of mine ..

Micheles Husband Dan is fighting Stage 4 metastatic Prostate Cancer. ..

A short story about Dan & his wife Michele!

Dan & Michele been married since 2007 and together have 3 children Skyler, Victoria & Dan . He's a huge Philly Flyers Fan that doesn't miss a game!!He seems to always be smiling !! I asked Michele about when they first met!

She said it was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. They met at Jacks Bar & Grill in N.E Philadelphia.

I Can't really write how it actually started with the two because it's RATED R .. Lets just say Michele was the aggressive one!! Dan he was quite the gentleman ..

They are they are the true definition of the perfect couple also Best friends! You never see one without the other.

They may have not been each others first love ,but they are most definitely each others greatest love of all!!

But they found out the most devastating news 2 years ago..

March of 2019 Dan was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Prostate Cancer at 47 year old..For the past 2 year's he has been fighting this battle ,and still manages to have a SMILE on his face..well the first week of June Dan received bad news ..As you can imagine its something you never want to hear..He was told he had a couple weeks or months to live. The most horrible news For his Wife & children and family . I cant even imagine ..As soon as he was told , He turned to his wife and said "I'm fighting this , its not my time"! So his wife began looking for treatments.

They've been turned away, insurance was an issue, then it was he was to sick and treatment wouldn't work at this point.

Then she found a place in Germany that seemed impossible..Finally she found a place who has this cancer treatment in Arizona at the Envita Medical center ! They have this treatment that has prolonged life expectancy and great out comes .This place has had patient's from renowned Hospice care centers all over the world ,that have tried this treatment, and it seems to be working wonders..

Only one Problem , it cost a small fortune !!! With this latest diagnosis Dan received. Being from as little as a few weeks to a few months time is crucial !! We need to save a life, Dan's life!!! a husband , father, son & A Friend who is not ready to go without a fight!! Not if we can help it...

The goal is $300,000 it seems so impossible at this point amd so far away !!

Here's a break down of cost;

Envita Medical Center in Arizona

For consultation $550.00 just for initial visit

Lab testing $8k- $12k

IV Therapy - $80k- $120k

The treatment is 3months long

Monday - Friday .

Figuring about $225,000 total

Then airline tickets from Philly,

Hotel , food etc ..

Plus they have mortgage at home for 3 months of being gone..So its a lot, as you can imagine...
