"This is Trans": a photography journey of awareness and love. The project first premiered at Stonewall Community Center in Columbus, Ohio, with great success, and now is being taken all over the country.
The artist, NV Gay, is asking for your help to help them travel across the country to continue to capture portraits of transgender individuals, interview them, and educate the world on what it truly means to be transgender. This project is financed directly from donations; the artist does not claim funds for themself. All proceeds go directly to the creation and transgender organizations all over the country.
The exhibition itself costs around $1,300 to print, frame, and install. Currently, the project is gaining attention from all over the United States and Canada; therefore, the costs will continue to rise to meet the demand.
With your donation, you are helping to expand this project and change the narrative. Transgender individuals are beautiful humans who deserve to live authentic lives with all the same freedoms and privileges as any other person.
By donating to this project, you, in turn, will be counted as a patron of pride on the official website for the project and receive priority access to all events and notifications on special releases.
