Hi, I'm Stewie Voua Yang. I was born on August 9th, 2019. My Daddy is See Yang, Mommy is Dua Vang and I have 6 siblings: RosaLee, Khaius, Keean, Riley, Donnie and another on the way. When I was 5 months in my mommy's tummy, it was discovered I was different. In my mommy's tummy, I was diagnosed with congential anamolies, hydrocephalus, encephalocele (both of which makes me prone to having seizures), bilateral cleft lip and palate, club foot and many other physical and neurological deformalities.

Many medical professionals predicted I wouldn't make it through pregnancy and even if I did, I'd only survive a few minutes after birth. To the surprise of many, including my parents, I survived. I had an awesome pain and palliative team from Children's of Minnesota until I was a little over a year old when they determined I wasn't going anywhere soon. I went through many surgeries and physical therapy.

On April 30th 2023, I had a seizure. My Mommy coudn't come with because she was sick. She had RosaLee go with Daddy to take me to the emergency room after giving me my dose of my emergency seizure medicaton. My family expected me to return home after a few days of observation in the hospital like the past but unfortunately, this seizure triggered a cardiac arrest and I left for heaven.

My family and I went through many challenges. Those challenges brought us closer and the joy we've shared far outweighed those challenges. I loved eating my bottle, listening to lullabies, hearing RosaLee strum her guitar and especially loved playing with my mommy. If you can, please help donate so my family could give me a proper Hmong funeral and lay me to rest. My funeral will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023.

Mommy, you were the best mother I could have ask for. Although our time was short, I will always be there in your heart. They say, God gained an angel but remember, you too, will be welcoming another angel right around my birthday this year. Although I won't be there physically to see my new sibling, I will be there in spirit. I love you!!!
