This Is Our Dad & He Needs Help

Matthew is our amazing dad, and he has five boys (Gavin 13, Liam 16, Anthony 18, Cade 20, and Noel 22). On Saturday, April 16th, 2022, he got into a motorcycle accident while he was practicing riding with our brother Cade. Dad got nervous going around a corner pretty fast. He accidentally throttled the bike, accelerating him into a small brick barrier which caused him to fly over the bike and land on his back. He has four cracked ribs, a fractured elbow, a fractured bone in his hand, and a severely bruised shoulder and arm, all on his left side. Breathing and moving is hard, but he's getting better at those things every day. The hospital staff has been very calming and supportive, and even though our dad is a strong man, he needs help.

 

He owns a small business and paying his employees each week and supporting a family can be hard. It's hard to see a way through this time as he faces a list of hospital bills that grows longer and longer each day.

 

All of this to say, we do not want to guilt anyone into giving. However, we do want to ask for help. God will support us always and He often works through others. God also calls each of us to give a portion of what we have back to Him. How is God using you to support others in need? Might He be calling you to support our dad in his time of need?
