Support Chris’ Battle Against Larynx Cancer

My brother Chris Harrison who you may know is such a great guy, always happy, always helpful and you may know him as a devoted children's nurse helping so many for over 25 years. In 2019 at the start of covid Chris was diagnosed with cancer of the larynx and despite 3 surgeries and weeks of gruelling chemo and radiotherapy we have now found out the cancer has returned. This means Chris now needs a total laryngectomy (removal of his voicebox) in August, to increase his chances of being cancer free. Chris will spend many weeks in N & N hospital.

I wanted to start a go fund me page to help Chris as this will certainly negatively impact on him. I know Chris is keen to get back to work, the job he so passionately loves but this is lifechanging surgery and it will be a long and difficult recovery road ahead. The aim of the surgery is to restore speech albeit through a stoma, and restore the ability to eat and drink but this is not a given. And I wanted to do this to help people help to us remove unnecessary extra worries when we just want Chris to concentrate on getting better so he can hopefully get back to being his larger than life chatty self.

Any monies raised will help Chris with technology and speech aids for the many weeks Chris will not be able to speak, making things easier and lift his mood. If you feel you can help out and would like to donate it will be so much appreciated. Thank you
