Prince, once called “Princess” until the vet kindly informed me he is more of a prince than a princess. He’s part of a community of rescue cats in the country that my stepfather lovingly cared for before he passed away this past November. Since then, I’ve taken over feeding and caring for them. It hasn’t been easy—I’ve lost a few, found homes for others, and now I’m doing everything I can for this sweet guy, Prince.

Recently, Prince suffered a serious injury requiring serious orthopedic surgery. My family and I have been covering his vet costs out of pocket, along with the costs for other rescue cats we care for. The expenses are becoming very overwhelming. We’re doing everything we can, but without help, we may have to make the heartbreaking decision to put Prince down.
