Wendy es la hermana de mi mejor amiga a quien quiero como una hermana, Wendy esta peleando por su vida, librando una batalla con un cáncer muy agresivo, un cáncer que se creia ya habia vencido en 2017 (cáncer de cervix ) pero volvió aún más fuerte por desgracia este año, en medio de la pandemia, Wendy fué diagnosticada con cáncer face IV Metastasico (esto significa que ya el cáncer se ha esparcido a otras partes del cuerpo) una situación muy difícil para toda su familia. El cáncer no va desaparecer desgraciadamente, pero es posible alargar su vida unos años más (con suerte 5 años más) y mejorar su calidad de vida para ese tiempo. Wendy tiene dos hijas y con todas sus fuerzas desea vivir un poco más para seguir cuidando de ellas , para que pueda al menos verlas más grandes y valiendose por si mismas.
Por el momento Wendy se encuentra en la unidad de cuidados intensivos en el Hospital de Diagnóstico de El Salvador, fué llevada despues de una crisis con convulsiones, el Viernes Nov. 27 su familia decidió llevarla alli aun cuando el costo será grande, pero en este hospital tienen mas herramientas, medicamentos que el hospital del seguro social en donde tuvieron que pausar el tratamiento de quimioterapias debido a que Wendy desarrollo trombosis. Un Dr. Especialista en el hospital de Diagnostico les explicó como podian ayudar a Wendy u aunque sera un tratamiento costoso, no habia màs opción, su familia quiere luchar hasta el final con ayuda de todos y de Dios todopoderoso.
Ayudemos, no importa si es con una cantidad minima, de gota en gota se llena el cántaro, toda ayuda es valiosa, la meta es grande pero tenemos fé que lo vamos a lograr, en un par de dias habrá que dar el primer pago al hospital asi que es una carrera contra el tiempo.

Wendy is my best friend's sister, who I love like a sister myself. Wendy is fighting for her life with a very aggressive type of cancer, cancer that she had a couple of years ago in 2017 (cervical cancer) and thought it was under control, but has comeback even stronger unfortunately; this year in the middle of this pandemic, Wendy was diagnosed with phase IV cancer with metastasis (this means that the cancer has spread to other areas of her body). This cancer won't disappear, but the doctors can try and add some years (5 years with luck) to her life, and improve the quality of life during that time.
Wendy has two daughters and there is nothing she wishes more than having a bit of more time to be with them and take care of them, at least until they can be more independent.
At the moment Wendy is at ICU at a private hospital in El Salvador (Hospital de Diagnostico) one of the best hospitals, she was attending treatment at the public hospital, but they had to pause it after Wendy developed thrombosis, and they didn't have the technology nor the medicaments to treat her and get her out of this crisis. An specialist at the private hospital explained how they can help her, so the family didn't have an option even though it will be very expensive they need to fight until the end for her with our help and faith in God.
GoFundMe is not supported in El Salvador so I offered my help opening this page to collect the funds as I live in Canada and will be transferring all proceeds to the family as they become available. The goal is set in Canadian dollars, but the bill is in american dollars.

The amount of the donation it does not matter, little by little we can reach this goal, in a couple of days the first payment is required, and the money needs to be available, we know that this year has not been an easy one, but if you are able to spare something, for as little as you think it is, it will help a lot to get the funds needed to help Wendy get back on her feet and have extra precious time with her family.
