Hi friends,
This year has been an incredibly difficult year for me: emotionally, mentally, financially, etc.; it has finally taken its toll on myself and my family, and, ultimately, I am asking for donations to help:
After a year long battle, I can finally say that I survived through a difficult (and expensive!) divorce. Those of you whom have undergone this process themselves can personally understand the additional challenges that divorce entails: attorney fees, court/filing fees, time off from work to attend court dates, sudden childcare costs, sudden large purchases needed to maintain a household (lawnmower, necessary furniture, simple household items), gas, and the most important - a monthly mortgage suddenly supported by a single source of income.
(**My ex-husband REFUSED to leave the home I purchased for 6 months - he did NOT pay for ANYTHING and I could not legally remove him from the home until the divorce was finalized - he also left a large Spectrum bill for me to pay and ultimately terminate service for. He would, however, watch me struggle, by documenting my delayed and late payments by taking pictures of letters received in the mail, amongst other things).
My current place of employment, a local Jail within the Sheriff's Department, is 6 years out of contract, I was hoping to see contract negotiations made current, finalized and to have received a retroactive payment, or, at the very least, a pay raise, to help me pull through the remainder of the year;
Until very recently, 2023 has been a year of financial "catch up" for me: I simply cannot keep up, and as a last resort, I am making this very difficult decision to create a GoFundMe to ask for help: by December 15th, 2023, my home will be undergoing the initial stages of foreclosure unless I can bring my payment out of default.
I am currently waiting on a response from Catholic Charities to hopefully figure out a way to recover my mortgage;
I am also waiting on responses from various jobs for additional sources of income, but unfortunately, the hiring process is not quick;
This is very personal and, honestly, very difficult to ask for help, but I am terrified to lose everything my son and I have fought so hard to get!! I am asking for your donations to help me prevent the foreclosure process on our home.
Thank you so much,
Tamara
***EDIT: 11/27/2023 - THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING THAT YOU HAVE HELPED ME WITH SO FAR!! WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS HOW GRATEFUL I AM!! <3***
