As Tony says, "It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped."  And boy, oh, boy have I been making some decisions these last several weeks of my life! 

Despite toxic situations and obstacles in my life, I decided 6 weeks ago that I  needed to go to a seminar called Spark Your Rockstar, hosted by a light worker named Carolyn Rim.

Having an abusive, alcoholic father and a mother who passed away from cancer left me responsible for raising a much younger brother and sister, while simultaneously putting myself through college and working 3 jobs to support myself. I managed to graduate with honors.  Still continuing to work 3 jobs, I found myself involved in a relationship that went from wonderful to toxic very quickly after I became pregnant with my first child. Giving my all,  in an attempt to make it work for the sake of my child, led to me become pregnant for a second time. At which point, a fire started to burn inside of me, and I knew my children and I all deserved better. I left the abusive relationship from their father with my toddler and while still pregnant.  Continuing to work multiple jobs when I could, facing sky-high college loan bills, and having a newborn to take care of on my own, while also caring for a toddler, was overwhelming to say the least. We didn’t and still don’t have luxury items like cable TV - only neccesities. I still work multiple jobs, and more months than not, have to put groceries on a credit card and watch the debt climb and climb. I have lived for many years just scrapping by and feeling stressed and overwhelmed... with my ex making contact here and there just enough to remind us how terrible and unworthy we are.

 I knew I needed a massive change. The universe and it’s synchronicities delivered the Spark Your Rockstar event to me. That was the first weekend I had ever been away from my kids. Coming out of that amazing seminar, I was encouraged to attend  Unleash The Power Within one month away.  “Old me” would have thought that was out of reach for a single mom and a person with circumstances such as myself. However, energized from Carolyn's seminar where Joesph McClendon III spoke, I had his phrase "Fortune favors the bold" ringing in my ears.  I decided confidently that I was going to UPW no matter what it took. And I made it happen!  I was even able to help another person get their first ticket to UPW as well.

Grateful doesn't even begin to cover it!  I am overwhelmed with gratitude for every single person that has been part of my journey and who I have met throughout the UPW experience. I am already working on giving back by instating a program I will run called “UP (unassisted parents) for UPW” assisting more struggling, single parents to receive tickets to attend their first UPW event.  I have always been involved in volunteering including high school and college. Now I want to come back and help even more by running the “UP for UPW” program and also crewing Tony Robbins events. The words transformational, amazing, and life-changing don't do justice to describe my time at UPW.  The seminar, the people, the energy... I remember thinking, “I.AM.HOME." 

Empowered with my soul shining through me, I had many new goals and aspirations I was ready to take charge of... of which I put Date With Destiny on the list for next year 2019 as I felt UPW had depleted all my resources for the time being. The universe had other plans.  I was introduced to Ian Griffith through a good friend I made while at UPW. Ian spoke with me, looking me in the eyes, straight down to my soul and told me I MUST go to Date With Destiny NOW.  "YES!" my soul screamed, and I didn't know how, but I knew it was already set in motion.  Talking to another friend from UPW about what it would take for me to be able to go so I could help even more people faster, he encouraged me to create this fund-raising campaign. 

Arriving back home, I smiled while opening Carolyn Rim's book "Awakening the Heart," reflecting on how my journey had begun with her just 6 short weeks ago.  I opened it to a random page and saw her quote "Don't allow a lack of resources to be the reason you didn't go after your dreams” staring back at me. Tears filled my eyes and an even bigger smile spread across my face. I had to laugh out loud.  I hear you and see your messages universe!

So here I am, boldly pursuing my dreams, wanting to help others, and here's where all my fellow firewalkers and unleashed soul family come in to play- that’s YOU! You know the rules - I can’t crew DWD until I have attended DWD.  If you feel so inspired to help this single mom make her date with her destiny, I would be immensely and humbly grateful, truly and deeply from the bottom of my heart. Even if that help comes in the form of sharing this with others, I greatly appreciate it.  I appreciate you taking the time to read my story and send good vibes, even though this short story doesn’t begin to cover the circumstances or obstacles on my journey (all of which I’m grateful for).   I am thankful we all get to be in this beautiful life together and raise each other up!
