What elements of the human condition keep us senselessly fighting each other?

"A Never Ending Revenge" will be a 12 minute, transportive, gut-wrenching, and raw short film, painting a picture of how war is a trap; A cycle that only perpetuates more war, instead of bringing an end to it.

The film will take you to a primal world where two tribes fight for land and honor. Through the eyes of a once innocent boy, Kojo, the film explores how pride and propaganda drives conflict, shining a light on the indoctrination, glorification, and demonization that fuel an endless revenge.

Brief Synopsis:

Kojo lost his entire family when the Deja attacked his village; he's lived every moment since then feeling only hate. Until one day, he's forced face-to-face with his enemy, and realizes they are just like him. As all the lies he's been told rise to the surface, he's forced to make a righteous decision that goes against everything he's ever known, and saves the life of a Deja. Through his journey Kojo realizes what it truly means to be a hero; not to fight for war, but instead to sacrifice himself for peace.

Who am I:

I'm Brandon Paradise, a passionate writer-director and senior at NYU's Film & Television program. Films of mine have won awards in festivals around the world, but this film in particular has been a life-long dream, and now, with your support, it is finally time to tell this story. With this film I'd like to show how we, as a people, can glorify acts of peace instead of acts of violence. I have a lot to prove with this film, and a lot to say on this topic. It would be my greatest pleasure to finally bring this vision to life, and with your backing we can make it possible!
