We are all too familiar with the phrase, "Excuses are like a-holes... EVERYONE has one, and they ALL stink."
Well, I once said that to my friend, Justin Mirigliani. His reply? "I wouldn't know; I don't have one; they sewed mine shut."
Long story short, Justin had his colon removed nearly ten-plus years ago. Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is no joke! Ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease fall under that umbrella as well.
Recently, Justin suffered some major, serious health setbacks (which he is transparent about).
Due to his health issues, his business (which he owns) suffered, causing some serious piling up of bills.
In addition to his health, he's going through a divorce, and just had his car totaled the other day.
It's estimated that between his: health insurance premiums; child support; medical bills, etc. that it will cost him about $50,000 this upcoming year!!!
To that end, I created this GoFundMe to help right his ship.
Your donations will help Justin get back on his feet.
For example, because his health setbacks, he had to, sadly cancel/shelve his celebrity hockey game this year (2024) with would have featured MANY former Philadelphia Flyers, including: Mark Recchi, Brian Propp, Chris Therien, Doug Crossman, others.

P.S. I already took over running his charity, CheckmatesCharity.com, which supports IBD sufferers, so that Justin can focus on his own health and business.
P.P.S. Justin's car JUST GOT rear-ended yesterday (Sept 14th, 2025). Looks like it might have been totaled.
