As many of my friends will know, I live in the mountains in Tenerife. I have opened up my home to a colony of 15 cats who live in the baranco next to me.

As normal with a colony, they pretty much all have the cat equivalent to lukumia or aids. And in general they cope ok, occasional colds and sniffles.

This boy called 'AD' has got it quite bad and is now coughing and sneezing blood, although there is no cure, the symptoms can be reduced with a course of medication.

I never ask for anything from my friends but on this occasion, I am asking if you have a spare few euro / pounds, to help me afford to take him to my vet, they would need to run tests to see which virus he has, and then to get the meds.

I spend approximately 100€ a month on food for them, which I do not mind doing, but anything above that, I just don't have right now.

So please if you are in a position to help me to help him, I would be grateful.

If there is any money left, I would keep it for either more food or to help towards the next of the 15 who may need a bit of support when suffering.
