Dear friends,

for the past 11 months our family has fostered 3 beautiful girls.

Fabiana 9, Kimi 2, and Lucy 1.❤️❤️❤️

A week ago they finally got to go home as issues unrelated to their sweet mom, Maria, have been resolved.

It was hard to say goodbye as the girls have been such a huge part of our family but it helps to know that they are back where they belong and that their mom Maria will take good care of them.

While they were with us their dad was killed and Maria lost her job so the family got behind on rent and bills. Heavy stuff for a mom who had also just lost her kids.

Despite all the sudden tragic events in her life Maria was able to find another job and once she is caught up she will be able to pay for rent and bills as she has been able to in the past. One time we were at their home the landlord happened to come to collect the rent and we learned that they were behind but also that they had been there for 6 years being able to pay.

HOWEVER if she doesn’t get caught up this month they will be facing eviction and the girls will most likely end up being taken away again as their case with CPS is still open.

Getting to know Maria over the last months it is evident that she loves her princesses, as she calls them, very much and she is relieved to have them back. We can’t even imagine what it would be like for her to loose them again and for them to loose her. We think about being separated from our own kids in this way - it’s hard to fathom - unthinkable really!!!
