Third Round for Gabby Roman

Gabby Roman, my big sister, was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer with methastasis to the liver on 2017. She went through 3 surgeries and several chemo treatments and thought she was done with cancer. But last May her doctors found 3 new masses, 2 in the liver and 1 in the lung, and now she has to go through a new round of chemo treatments and probably another surgery. The costs of the deductibles for the chemo treatments are really high, plus the medications she has to take and all the labs and studies she needs to have, in addition to the travel costs to Houston to see her doctors at MD Anderson, among others, are a big load which she would need help with in order to be able to overcome this period of her life. She has to pay for monthly blood analysis, infusions and pet scans until chemo is completed, plus additional safety measures to protect her from COVID-19. In addition, she is unable to work for 4 days on the weeks when she has the treatments and she hasn’t found anyone available to cover for her at the clinic on those days, which means that she would have little or no income on those 4 days every 2 weeks.

If you can and are able to help her, please send gift cards or money donations to Gabby and her beautiful family to help her with her third battle against cancer, so that she won't have to worry so much and  can focus on her health and getting rid of her cancer as soon as possible. Gabriela Roman, mi hermana mayor, fué diagnosticada en 2017 con cancer de colon etapa IV con metástasis en el hígado. Ella pasó por 3 cirugías y varios tratamientos de quimio y pensó que ya había vencido el cáncer. Pero en el mes de mayo su doctor encontró 3 masas nuevas, 2 en el hígado y 1 en el pulmón, y ahora tiene que pasar por una nueva ronda de quimios y probablemente otra cirugía. El costo de los deducibles de la quimio son súper altos, más los medicamentos que tiene que tomar y todos los laboratorios y estudios que necesita hacerse, a lo que se suman los costos de viajar a Houston para poder ver a sus doctores en MD Anderson, entre otros, son una carga con la que va a necesitar ayuda para poder superar esta etapa de su vida. Ella tiene que pagar análisis de sangre, infusión y pet scan mensuales hasta que complete la quimio, además de las medidas de seguridad adicionales para protegerla del COVID-19. Además, ella no puede trabajar por 4 días en las semanas en las que toma los tratamientos y no ha logrado encontrar a nadie disponible que la cubra en la clínica durante esos días, lo que significa que ella tendrá poco o ningún ingreso por 4 días cada 2 semanas.
