Hey!

My name is Melaku, and I’m a music artist, a songwriter, and a record producer.

I started making music when I was really young, and I’ve continued to this point because I feel like it’s what I was put on earth to do.

I’m launching this Go Fund Me to promote, and distribute, and really properly put out into the world my third album.

I’ve put out two albums before this, “Golden Age,” and “Dream World,” both of which were completely self-produced and written by myself. I played all the instruments (guitar, bass, drums, keys, etc), I recorded the vocals, and mixed and mastered everything.

I’ve kept that same sort of self-made ethos in this album, but I’ve kind of upgraded it. Even though I’m pretty good on the bass, drums, and keys, I’ve hired session musicians to play them even better. These guys…it’s what they do. And so I’ve invested a lot of time and resources into making this album the best it can be.

This album is inspired by the music I grew up listening to; a lot of inspiration from the 60s and 70s (just like my other albums, and it also incorporates aspects of 90s rock and modern pop. This crossover kind of creates my unique sound. And I also make sure that I really make music that has a message, and a deeper meaning. Whether that’s just about promoting love, or spirituality, or finding ways to let go of things that plague.

My music in this album and all my other songs is intended to help you, because it helps me.

I’ve gone through a lot of challenges in my life that have made making music and performing pretty challenging, especially health issues. I have lyme disease, which is pretty much impossible to heal from, but I’ve recovered quite a bit through pretty much a decade of healing and figuring out what works for me. And so this album and all of my previous albums and singles have really taken a lot of persistence and dedication to push through the obstacles I have with health and to bring this music out into the world.

And so it means a lot for you to come in and help me promote this album, and properly give it the PR, the videos, the playlists, and all of the rest of the push it needs to make an impact in the world.

I really believe in these songs, because they’re the songs that mean the most to me that I’ve written over the past many years. And they are all coming together in this one album.
