Jim battled cancer like a mythical warrior to stay with us for 10 years. His loss is devastating. I always told him, "there is only one you".

There are no words to express our gratitude for those few who knew our struggle, showed up and miraculously made what felt impossible possible. We thank you.

2. Help offset the crushing financial toll that had us living well beyond our means. Besides exorbitant out of pocket medical costs, there were the costs of countless months ( 8 in 2024 alone- one stretch from March - July) when he was in out of town hospitals for extended stays and I was in attached hotels. We also incurred costs from assistance needed at home, ambulances to Buffalo and Sayre, wear and tear resulting in major repairs on our 2011 accessible van and my now falling apart power wheelchair.

Every day there are more bills in the mail, with more to come... One outstanding ambulance bill alone is $2500.

It was a marathon and every day Jim said it was one worth living.
