Hello! On 9th April I am shaving off my locks (anywhere between a number 4 and 6), to show my support for those going through, or who have been through Cancer.
We all know too many people who have had to battle this awful disease, so please support me in raising money and awareness!
I have a dear friend who is fighting Pancreatic Cancer, so I have chosen to raise money and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer itself, and more importantly let her know she doesn't have to feel alone.
I am with her through thick, thin and shaved!
The Shave: To show my support as I try to understand and put myself in the shoes of those who are going through or who have been through treatment to battle Cancer, with this being one of the many things they endure throughout their treatment.
The Awareness: To raise awareness for Pancreatic Cancer in particular, as it is a rarer form of Cancer and therefore can sometimes be overlooked. (wait until you see the stats....) Let's change this!!
The Money Raised: Leanne has a beautiful little girl Jess (3 yrs) and an incredibly supportive husband, Shayne. To help with expenses, both medical and otherwise, a large % of funds raised will go to supporting her family. The other % will go to The Pancare Foundation to put towards research on fighting Pancreatic Cancer.
The more people that know about Pancreatic Cancer, the sooner we can beat it, together! So please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family :) Thank you so much in advance for your generosity and support, it means a lot to myself, Leanne and her family.
