On Thursday, March 12, 2020 the Thiboutot family tragically lost an amazing man. Chad Christopher Thiboutot, 47, died in an automobile accident while at work. He leaves behind his wife Kelly (Whalen) and 4 incredible sons, Jeremy, Dylan, Brady, and Jake. He also leaves his mother Pat Thiboutot, father, the late Raymond Thiboutot, brother Scott Thiboutot and family, and sister Renee DiManno and her husband Bob and family, along with his in-laws Joyce Whalen and the late Jack Whalen and sister-in-law Kerri Stepien and her husband Marc and family.
Chad grew up in Tiverton but spent about half of his life in Swansea. Since living in Swansea he coached several recreational teams including baseball, basketball, flag football, and pop warner football. Anyone who has a child that's played recreational sports in Swansea in the last 20 years was sure to know Chad or one of his boys. He was always the loudest coach on the field/court, constantly making jokes with the kids. Chad had a way with the kids and left a lasting impression on his players. His love for the game and the kids was fun to watch. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. This is truly a loss for the Swansea community.
The family is completely devastated without him. The road ahead will be long and hard but with the help of our community I think we can help with some of the financial burden. We are asking for donations of any amount to help defray the cost of his funeral services and/or other expenses that come up along the way. Please keep Kelly, the boys and their family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
