Thibodeau Medical Expenses and More

On Thursday, August 11th Samantha Thibodeau had to have an emergency nephrectomy (kidney removal). It was discovered that Samantha had a mass growing in her kidney that burst. The Thibodeau family is awaiting final histology on this mass. Still, the urologists and pediatric oncologists are confident this mass was a Wilm's Tumor and will require further treatment for its malignancy. (https://www.stjude.org/disease/wilms-tumor.html)

I'm starting this gofundme to share with you all the arduous journey this family is now on. It is also my goal to begin raising financial and community support for every member of this family. I envision financial help with medical bills, laundry service, meal trains, food delivery, housecleaning, and family activities at home. If you know my family well, you have likely heard Samantha's name often. Samantha has been my eldest child Emery's dearest friend since 1st grade (the photo above is from then!). They are both starting 5th grade way differently than we all imagined. Samantha has an older brother Adam, and two of the most patient and intentional parents, Miranda and Jamie.

Currently, Samantha is at Children's Hospital in Aurora, CO recovering from a nephrectomy. Today, the big goal has been focusing on pain management. As treatment plans are made, I will keep everyone updated and provide goals for supporting Samantha and her incredible family.
