Thiago Figueroa Pallone

Thiago's family needs assistance with memorial costs. Thiago Figueroa-Pallone was born on 01/30/2017, and diagnosed with Myotubular Myopathy, which is a mutation on the X link of his DNA. The mutation deprived every cell of producing one enzyme that regulated Thiago’s muscular development. In his early months, Thiago survived five cardiorespiratory attacks showing his strong will to survive. As result of the unexpected heath condition of Thiago, his mother, Sara had to leave her job as a college professor to attend to Thiago full time, leaving Thiago’s father, Pablo as the sole provider of household income.

After the devastation Hurricane Maria left in Puerto Rico, the family sought the best care they could find for Thiago in the United States. Thiago's father, Pablo, a police officer in Puerto Rico, applied to police departments in the cities offering the best care to Thiago. The Gainesville Police Department hired Pablo and he was able to bring the family to Gainesville, FL in 2020.

On March 29, 2024, Thiago passed away due to health complications, leaving his parents and his three year old brother, Samuel, devastated with his sudden departure. Thiago lived a happy life and was passionate about sea animals. He was so passionate that he knew more than a 100 species of see animals in three languages (English, Spanish and Portuguese).
