On January 31, 2024 we received the devastating news that our 13 year old daughter Soffia has cancer. She was diagnosed with Stage 2 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. Her tumor is located in her chest wall by her heart. Just one week after her biopsy and diagnosis she was admitted to Children’s for a port placement and her first chemotherapy treatment. She is so strong and such a fighter, already completing 3 weeks of chemotherapy. She has a long road ahead, 42 weeks of chemotherapy plus radiation, and she is not alone. It’s heartbreaking to see our spunky girl suffer and yet she reminds us every day to have a good laugh. Soffia wants nothing more than to be cancer free and to return to being her active, healthy self, and we are so here for it. This GoFundMe has been created by loved ones, to help offset the costs of loss of time at work, travel expenses, and any medical expenses not covered by insurance.
