MEET THE TEAM

Felipe Castilla - Writer/Director
Felipe Castilla is a writer/director based out of Miami, Florida. He graduated Cum Laude from Florida International University with a degree in Journalism and Mass communications. A passionate storyteller, Felipe is currently developing a play and is scheduled to release his first book of poetry in early 2021. He is very excited to be making his directorial debut with They Prefer Richards.

Alex D. Lugo - Producer/Lead Actor (Guy/Dre)
Alex Lugo is a second-generation actor, musician, and film producer from Miami, FL. He was raised in a family of artists and is the son of Daniel Lugo, a prominent Puerto Rican film and television actor. He has trained at both the Adriana Barraza Acting Studio in Miami and the Stella Adler Studio in NYC. He is an alumnus of the American Theatre Wing’s Springboard NYC program. He also graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Florida International University and is a full-time Software Engineer at Goldman Sachs.

Selina Savage - Producer
Selina Savage grew up in Germany, where she studied economy and biology before finding her true passion, theater. She found herself in Miami, where she decided to attend MDC to fulfill her dream of becoming part of the film industry. She has experience being in front of the camera as an actress and extra in TV Shows, movies, and even as a dancer in music videos. However, it wasn't until she was a PA in the show Mythbusters that she decided to become more involved in making video content behind the camera. She decided to obtain her Bachelor's in Film/TV Production. Not too long ago, she joined TCBL (Tartarus Creative Brain Lab)– a video production company – as a producer and freelance Art Director.

Luis Paez - Producer

Luis Paez is a producer, audio engineer, and composer for the electronic music duo Shy Monster. 

As an Engineer, Luis has worked recording talent for shows like Pinky and the Brain, The Fairly OddParents, and
South Park. He Has worked as an audio editor for HBO and Director of Audio Operations at Omni Advertising. Credits
include  HBO’s original film Gia, Weeds,  Sanjay Gupta, The Hive, The Saint, City of Men, Monica’s Gang. He has worked
with Disney, Comedy Central, MTV Latin America, Lions Gate, and CNN Latino. Luis has won Best Sound Design for his
work in the film Malabar.*

Max Rivera - Producer
Maximillian Rivera is a Miami-raised filmmaker and music producer. He grew up watching movies and listening to electronic music from a young age, which gave him the inspiration to draw from throughout his creative endeavors as an adult. He is a UCF graduate with a bachelor in television production.

RISKS AND CHALLENGES
Creating a movie at any scale is a considerable undertaking, and ours is no exception.

One of the most significant risks for any film project right now is the unpredictable pandemic situation. Please rest assured that our team is dedicated to ensuring that all cast members and crew feel safe on set. The Production team has completed the Safe Sets International COVID-19 certification and will ensure full compliance with all CDC and state health guidelines. The post-production process of this film is entirely digital and can be completed remotely by the team.

The scope of work, time frame, and budget for this film are reasonable, and so there should be no reason why it is not completed. The core team involved in this project has experience with film production and we are confident that, upon this GoFundMe campaign's success, the film will be completed, and all rewards will be delivered fully and on a timely basis. 

This movie's future is based on its performance on the festival circuit, and we believe that this project is a strong
contender.
