My name’s Jasmine. I’m a queer woman of colour, and over the past year I’ve been fighting a really difficult battle after experiencing discrimination, harassment and unfair treatment at my previous workplace.

This has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I’m representing myself in an Employment Tribunal against my former employer and colleagues — and while I’ve already attended my first preliminary hearing, navigating this process alone has been overwhelming and exhausting.

I’ve done everything I can to prepare my evidence, write my statements and stay strong through it all. But now I’ve reached the point where I really need professional legal guidance. The support I’m hoping to raise funds for will cover case preparation, evidence review and advice sessions from an affordable employment law support service, and to help cover any unexpected fees that arise as the case progresses.

Their prices are affordable but still out of reach for me right now — my fundraising target is £3,000.

I’m asking for help because I truly believe this case matters. It’s not just about what happened to me — it’s about standing up to behaviour that far too many people are expected to accept. I don’t want to be silent. I want to do this properly, for myself and for others who have ever felt small, unsafe or unseen because of who they are.
