I never thought I’d be here.

But this month, over $768 in food benefits was stolen from me and my two children. Someone wiped our entire EBT card clean — and now we have nothing. No groceries. No justice. And no help.

I’ve called every number. I’ve begged the county. I’ve followed every rule.

They told me there’s nothing they can do. That the food my kids were supposed to eat this month? Gone. Just like that.

And this didn’t happen while I was sitting around.

I’m a full-time mom, a full-time college student trying to finish my bachelor’s degree, and the full-time caregiver for my dying grandparents, who I’m helping stay in their home with dignity. I stretch every dollar and every hour trying to keep my family afloat. I’m doing everything right — and still, the system failed me.

Then, last week, my car broke down. I’m already using student loans to survive, juggling rent, school, caregiving, and now I can’t even get to the store — even if I had money to buy food.

Now I’m sitting here, robbed of the only support we had to eat, with no safety net. No groceries. No response. Just silence from the very system that’s supposed to help us.

So I’m asking for help — for me and for my kids. Anything you can give will help us eat, fix my car, and survive long enough for me to finish this semester and keep pushing for a better life.

This isn’t easy to ask. I hate having to. But I need help.
