Help Support Walter Giardina & Chris Meyer, Veterans and FBI Agents Wrongfully Fired
On August 8, 2025, the FBI abruptly and unlawfully terminated two of its most dedicated agents, Walter Giardina and Chris Meyer, ending more than 55 years of combined service to our nation. Both are decorated combat veterans who spent their adult lives protecting America on the battlefield, in the fight against terrorism, and in defense of our nation’s laws.
Their sudden and unjust dismissals stripped them of their pensions and left them with significant legal expenses as they fight to clear their names. Today, both men are without income, health care, or the work that has defined their lives.
Your donation will be split between Walter and Chris to help them cover basic living expenses, support their families, maintain health insurance, and fight their legal battles, while sending a clear message that we stand with those who serve with honor.
Walter’s Story
Walter began his service at the U.S. Naval Academy, graduating in 1999 before being commissioned in the U.S. Marine Corps. He led over 100 Marines in combat during the 2003 invasion of Iraq, participating in numerous direct fire engagements with Iraqi Army and insurgent forces.
In 2005, he joined the FBI, spending eight years in Counterterrorism. His work helped stop multiple terrorist plots, including an attempted bombing of a military recruiting station.
Walter deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 to interrogate senior Taliban commanders, and again to Iraq in 2020 with Joint Special Operations Command. In the FBI’s Public Corruption program, he led cases that resulted in major convictions — including Pittsburgh’s chief of police and the dismantling of a $3.7 billion fraud scheme targeting the US Intelligence Community.
Just three weeks before his firing, Walter’s wife of 25 years, Colleen, passed away after a heroic battle with cancer. She was a professional ballet dancer who devoted her life to family and teaching children with disabilities the joy of dance. Walter is now a single father of two, navigating both grief and the loss of his career.
Chris’s Story
Chris joined the Air National Guard at 17, working as an aircraft mechanic to pay for college while learning to fly. He became a pilot, deploying multiple times to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, logging more than 350 combat hours in three military aircraft.
In 2012, Chris joined the FBI as a criminal investigator, earning multiple performance awards, including the FBI Medal of Excellence in August 2024 for investigating corruption by senior government officials. He also served on the Washington Field Office SWAT Team, arresting violent criminals and protecting the capital during National Security Special Events.
As a pilot in the FBI’s Special Flight Operations Unit, Chris flew global missions for the Critical Incident Response Group, including the extradition of the foreign terrorist accused of the 2021 Kabul Airport Abbey Gate bombing and the complex transfer of three U.S. citizens from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
For more than 25 years, Chris served with honor as a combat veteran, husband, and father committed to his family and his country. His career was taken from him in an instant.
