Out of Jail and into Rehab. Help us BOND LEE OUT.

Hi, my name is Summer, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a strong hope…for help, for healing, and for a second chance at life for the father of my children.
Lee is the father of three of my kids, ages 7, 5, and 3. He also has a 13-year-old daughter from a previous relationship who misses him just as much. For most of the last three years, Lee has been incarcerated due to a long-standing battle with drug addiction. This addiction has gripped him for most of his life, and though he’s tried to pull himself out many times, he’s never had access to real rehabilitation. Jail is not the place to get clean or stay clean. It’s not helping him, or our children who need him so much.
Our youngest daughter is only 3. She barely knows her daddy because he was locked up when she was just 5 months old. Last night, she looked at me and asked if I could get my keys to “unlock” her daddy and bring him home so he could give her a hug. That broke me. All she knows is that she loves her daddy and wants him to be around. All of our kids miss him deeply, and they’re growing up without the loving, present father they deserve…and the one I believe Lee can be.
Lee has never been to rehab. Never. Despite years of addiction and many trips in and out of jail, he has never been given the opportunity to truly get help. But now, we finally found a spot for him in a good, structured, faith-based rehab facility. He is willing. He is ready. He really WANTS to go. But the only thing standing in the way is a $5,000 bond.
We’ve been trying everything we can to get the bond reduced. Sadly, we’ve had no success and his public defender won’t return our calls, emails, etc., and we feel stuck. I’m starting this GoFundMe because I believe, with all my heart, that Lee deserves this chance. Just ONE chance to get real help. Not for just himself, but for his kids…kids who are growing up without bedtime stories, hugs, or a dad in the audience at school events, and also everyone else who loves and cares about him so much.
Lee has changed while he’s been away. He’s been reading his Bible and has finished it from front to back. He tells me how he prays every day and how he wants to become the man God is calling him to be. God is working in his heart, and I see it more clearly than ever. We know that God has a purpose for him because he has spared his life many times. I believe with support and the right environment, he can finally break free from the chains of addiction and live a life he and his children can be proud of.
If you feel moved to help, please consider donating. Even a few dollars gets us closer to bringing a father home, not just to be free, but to be healed. To finally go to rehab. To get better. To be there for his children who miss him every single day.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading and for supporting our family through this journey. Your kindness means more than you know. Thank you all so much.
