Last night, my 26 year old brother and his fiancée lost everything when their home was destroyed in a fire. Their entire house is gone — along with all of their belongings, clothes, and personal items. Unfortunately they had no insurance so they have to completely start over. 

When the fire started, my brother stayed inside as long as he could, trying to fight the flames and rescue their animals. His hair and beard were singed, and he had to jump off the deck when he couldn’t breathe anymore.

Heartbreakingly, they lost all of their beloved pets — their dogs, cats, and his fiancés bird. These animals were their family, and the emotional toll of losing them is overwhelming.

While they thankfully have a place to stay for now, they are starting from nothing. We’re raising funds to help them cover the basic essentials — clothing, food, supplies, and anything they need to begin putting their lives back together.
