A Sanctuary Where Dogs and People Heal Together

Stacy Hope Rescue has always stood for one thing: giving forgotten dogs a chance at safety, dignity, and love. Now, we’re taking the most important step in our history, building a permanent, cage‑free sanctuary where senior dogs, medical cases, and abandoned animals can finally rest without fear.

We rescue dogs from overcrowded shelters and strays in California, Texas and New York. Very often, we are at capacity or forced to say no to dogs who have nowhere else to go.

But with the sanctuary, we won't have to say No. We will be able to help more dogs and eventually other animals - wherever they need us most.

Right now, dogs are still left behind because there is simply nowhere for them to go. We are done accepting that as the reality. This Sanctuary is the solution, and we can't build it without you.

This sanctuary isn’t only for dogs.

We are creating a place where veterans, underserved individuals, and people facing financial or housing hardship can find support, connection, and healing. Many of the people we help are navigating trauma, instability, or isolation and the presence of animals offers grounding, comfort, and a sense of purpose.

Our programs will include:

-Support for veterans dealing with PTSD, trauma, or reintegration challenges

-Assistance for underserved individuals facing financial or housing hardship

-Community days where people can spend time with animals, decompress, and reconnect

-Hands‑on involvement in caring for the dogs, which helps both humans and animals heal

And in Phase Two, we will build a weekend retreat, a peaceful escape from city stress where people can spend time in nature, surrounded by animals, quiet, and open space. A place to breathe again.

This project is ambitious: it requires land, buildings, infrastructure, and the resources to support both dogs and people. But it’s also the most meaningful work we will ever do.

And since it’s my birthday, I’m asking for something different this year.

Not gifts. Not celebrations.
