They Gave Me 11 days........to pay an SLA FINE
On September 18th, I had an SLA investigator came into the
bar and went to order a drink and the one busy bartender did not offer him food. The investigator said the bar was packed and we were not following Covid regulations. Despite all the evidence I provided, Covid tracking log of 43 people, documentation that showed I hired the same cleaning company that sprays the NYS buildings for Covid cleaning once a month and on a monthly plan, and despite I never had an Covid case or an employee with Covid I still got hit with a hefty fine that I can’t afford to pay. I am a black woman and I am 100% owner of my establishment. Black owned businesses are already suffering at an alarming rate. The restaurant industry is suffering in New York State and it’s time to seek assistance. They only gave me 28 days to pay this fine in a time where bars and restaurants have to close at 10pm and you can only have a 25% occupancy inside. I appreciate your support and anything you can contribute at this time. I have been open 5
years. I wanted to close on a high note....but not this way after you worked so hard to make it work.
