Hello,

My name is Joy and I'm hoping to raise funds for an upcoming Septoplasty and Nasal passage reconstruction implant.

I, for a long long while, have been almost completely incapable of breathing properly through my nose. this has led to heart palpitations, shortness of breath, and enough symptoms to warrant an emergency room visit.

After many failed doctors appointments where sleep medicine practitioners could not find the cause, the problem debilitated, getting worse and worse as my heart palpitations increased in frequency. Eventually, a Nurse practitioner suggested a Septoplasty and Turbinate reduction. They sent me to my hospital's nasal/throat care department after a CT scan and found that my septum was severely deviated, enough to cause significant breathing issues, and one of my nasal passages is apparently collapsed and needs repair.

All was going well until the day of my pre-OP appointment, where I found out my out of pocket costs greatly exceeded my savings on a mid-size streamer's salary. I am unused to asking for funds of this size, but would like to humbly ask for your support in affording my medical care to ensure I can keep working, keep breathing, and keep myself healthy.

A BREAKDOWN OF COSTS:

$4525 - This is the amount due to the Medical Center on the day of the surgery, which is October 15th. (ESTIMATE)

$590 - Physician's Fee and Anesthesia (ESTIMATE)

$350 - Buffer for Possible Estimate deviation

$750 - Post-OP recovery and care since i will not be able to work at all in the meantime.

I understand that this is a large sum of money, but the state of my previous ER visit has left me saddled with massive medical bills i'll already be paying off well into 2027. I would not ask for this help if there was any chance of raising the funds on my own. I very much appreciate any and all support, and if the Estimate buffer is not used, it will be contributed to the money i already owe the hospital for the CT scans, ER visit, etc.

DEADLINES:

My procedure is on October the 15th. By then, I'll need to at least be able to cover the cost of surgery. they have mentioned possible payment plans if I'm able to pay HALF of the 4525, but that would leave me paying over 400 dollars a month, which is much more than i'm able to spare just through merit alone, even if i opened commissions twice or more per month.

The rest, minus the 4525 is slightly less urgent but the closer we get to my goal, the easier it will be to keep my head above water while I'm incapable of streaming.

IF the goal is met and additional funds are submitted, they will all be used to cover previous medical costs i was not able to pay off from my CT scan & ER visit.
