Medical Bills for the Urch Family
Donation protected
This campaign is to try to ease the burdens that have unexpectedly fallen upon the Urch Family.
On April 5, 2017, Duane Urch felt pains in his chest while working at his construction site. Knowing what that possibly meant, he drove himself to Ashtabula County Medical Center in Ashtabula, Ohio. After it was determined he was indeed having a heart attack, he was lifeflighted to Cleveland Clinic. It was determined the best treatment option was open heart surgery with quadruple bypass. Duane made it through his surgery with no complications, with his wife Jenny right by his side. He stayed under the care of Cleveland Clinic for another week, his heart and recovery being closely monitored, by Jenny and his team of doctors. He returned home on April 18th, 2017. Obviously after such major surgery, Duane isnt able to return to work for a full 3 months.
Unfortunately, two days after Duane and Jenny finally returned home, another event struck the family that rocked it to its core.
On April 20th, 2017, their youngest son Cody Abram Urch lost his life to heroin addiction. It was planned that he would be going to rehab that same day. Like many people that have been touched by addiction, it is not an easy battle, and it's a battle that is fought every day of that person's life. Cody was a kind-hearted, funny, sensitive soul that just got caught up and lost in this epidemic. He honestly did try to fight his addiction many times, but the grasp of heroin is unforgiving even to the strongest person.
Jenny, Duane, and their 4 other children ;( Tracey, Elaine, Nicole, and Matthew) are obviously devastated by the loss of Cody. He was a brother, a son, and a father to a loving little boy, Jonathon. He is and will be missed by so many people who loved him and knew how good of a person he truly was.
Dealing with their grief is a day to day struggle, losing their baby boy so suddenly has been so challenging for Jenny and Duane. Jenny is unable to return to work, understandibly still coping with the loss of her son. Duane is unable to work also for the sake of his recovery and as support for his wife.
Anyone who has ever met Jenny and Duane knows that they have lived their life to help others and to serve God. A hard working, strong couple who have experienced insurmountable sadness in the past weeks.
This campaign is here to help lighten the load of medical bills, and the financial and emotional strain of saying goodbye to their youngest son. Jenny and Duane have not asked for any help other than prayers, which is why we take it upon ourselves to do all we can to help ease their pain. Anything honestly helps at this time, a few kind words even go a long way. We'd like to take one less stress away from them, so they can continue to support and comfort each other without worrying about piling bills.
We know this epidemic of heroin has touched so many families across our nation, and has taken many loved ones along with it. We appreciate anyone that reads this story, and know that it's hard to ask people for help when we are down.
Thank you for your time and any donations, they are greatly appreciated.
