The Triggs
Donation protected
Neil Trigg is an Air Traffic Controller and NATCA member at Washington Center (ZDC). Recently, Neil and his wife Lesli were planning to have a baby girl. Due to complications in the 38th week of pregnancy, they lost this little angel. It is with great sadness that I start this Go Fund Me page for the Triggs. Any money raised will go to The Triggs to help them out with unplanned medical expenses, funeral expenses and other hardships through this difficult time. Any amount you are able to give to this young grieving family is greatly appreciated.
Thank You,

Laurel Jean Trigg was born Wednesday July 15th at 7:59pm. She weighed 5 pounds 9 oz.
She was delivered by emergency c section and this began the emotional roller coaster. She did not have a pulse, was extremely anemic, and her lungs were full of fluid. The doctors worked for 16 minutes to resuscitate her before getting a weak pulse. She required a ventilator to breathe. She was immediate placed in the nicu but the doctors feared brain injury so at 230 am she was med flighted to Children's National Hospital in DC for brain cooling treatment . I flew with her. During the flight I saw a shooting star and wished as hard as I could
When we landed she was rushed for a CT scan but the results were grim. She was moved to the nicu at children's and placed on the cooling mat where she stayed for the next 19 hours. She received 2 blood transfusions and a massive amount of medicine to try and bring her blood pressure up. Meanwhile Lesli was discharged after only 16 hours so she could be with the baby.
After 10 hours on the cooling mat, she was hooked up to a brain monitor. After 24 hours there had been no activity. She never gained consciousness and never took a breath on her own.
At 9pm on Thursday, she was removed from the life support.
Laurel left us my arms surrounded by family.
