You know how some things get better with age?  Well, unfortunately the Xi Chapter House is not like a fine wine.  It's more like a well-loved stuffed animal that has lost an eye and some of its filling.

On a serious note, this summer we were close to selling the House due to lack of occupancy which would have left Xi Chapter without a home.  With all the new housing developments in Madison, the Chapter House is becoming a less desirable place to live.  With current membership over 60,  the House is no longer used for Chapter meetings which means newer members felt less connection to the House.  

The good news is that the current members genuinely want the House.  They are committed to signing leases for the 2020 school year, and they are working with Housing Corp to ensure occupancy in the future.  So if we can fix up this old fixer upper, we can save our beloved House.

broken air conditioners (3) & old furnaces (3) quoted at  $20,000 to replace
foundation repairs
plaster repairs
water leaks in ceiling
carpeting

Some of you may recall a fundraiser to replace the siding a little more than a decade ago.  That fundraiser did not meet its goal, so the siding was not replaced.  Those funds were set aside and will be combined with the results of this fundraiser for these general house repairs. 

Everyone who donates will have their name displayed on a plaque in the Chapter Room
   Donations of $50-$99 will receive a Theta Tau decal
   Donations of $100-$249 will receive a Theta Tau decal and can koozie
   Donations of $250 or more will receive Theta Tau decal, can koozie, and umbrella
