This past year, The Stew Crew as a family, have been working actively at being open to the serving opportunities God is leading our family towards. The opportunity has arisen for our whole family (Chris, Jen Brian, Regan, Aiden & even Bella!) to join Sunrise Community Church and their High School ministry on their annual Mexicali Mission Trip. We will serve and bless the people of Mexico by joining our church, on the Mexicali mission trip for8 days this spring break.
We will be joining with a team of almost 70 youth and adults to serve at 3-4 church sites, partnering with the local churches to minister to their communities. The theme this trip is “Amaremos”, which means "We will love!" in Spanish. This is going to be not only our team's theme, but will also be the foundation of our message we communicate through the VBS programs and adult ministries that we will be organizing and running for the local churches.
Would you please join us in prayer today as we prepare, and during our trip? Please pray that God would prepare each of our hearts to be His servants, to share His love with everyone He puts in our path, and that they would see, feel and receive His love. And that we will also listen to His leading and grow as we walk in His strength.
This trip is fully funded through donations. Our family must raise $3000 of support by March 6, 2016. The donations cover all the costs for our family, the VBS and adult ministries programs we will be leading, and our team’s expenses.
If you would like to help, but uncertain about paying online, please feel free to contact us (envelope icon to the right of your screen next to the photo of Chris & Jen), we would be happy to send contact info. *If we are unable to participate or if the trip is cancelled due to unexpected circumstances your donation will be used for future mission trips.*
I think we may be most excited to be able to share this experience with our kids. To serve along side them, and expose them to not only life outside our comfortable homes here in the US, but we also pray this alights in them a heart that desires to serve at a young age.
Thank you for considering supporting us through prayer and/or giving. This trip would be impossible without the generosity of so many. We look forward to sharing all of our God sightings with you.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
