Stafford Family

On April 17, my sister and her family were asleep in their apartment building, where they’ve been living while waiting on their forever home to be built. Sometime around midnight, they woke up to someone frantically ringing the doorbell. They quickly smelled smoke and saw flames taking over the back deck, coming into the kitchen. Amanda and Nathan grabbed the kids from their beds and ran outside. Everyone made it safely out of the building, but basically everything they owned was ruined by fire, smoke, or water. Everything they owned, everything they had for the new house was stored in the apartment. Everything, gone. Aside from major things like furniture, clothes, appliances, and toys, there’s a huge expense involved with just replacing groceries and toiletries. They have been so fortunate to have the support of friends and family. They are grateful for everyone who has helped or donated, and we want to give more people an opportunity to do so.
