SYNOPSIS

Quang, a handsome rising actor, always dazzles the public with his radiant presence, like a masterpiece stepping out of a painting — the perfect prince in every dream. Yet, behind the glamorous image on screen lies a very different reality: he is a single father, struggling to raise his three-year-old son, Dương, in a house so messy it resembles a battlefield. Having never learned how to care for or love someone else, Quang finds himself exhausted from juggling his demanding career with the challenges of parenthood. In desperation, he posts a suspicious-looking job ad for a live-in helper with an unusually high salary — one that most people hesitate to trust. All except one: Minh.

Minh, a third-year university student, is on the verge of collapse. Recently evicted from his dorm, burdened by financial struggles, academic pressure, and his pursuit of passion, he stumbles upon Quang’s job posting. Despite his doubts, Minh decides to take the chance and seek out the opportunity.

Through a series of humorous and serendipitous events, Quang and Minh end up living under the same roof. Much like the tale of the snail fairy, Minh begins caring for Quang — cooking, cleaning, and managing his daily life — while Quang, in return, provides Minh with generous pay and a place to call home, helping him break free from his cocoon of insecurity.

But their relationship soon grows beyond that of employer and employee. Slowly, affection takes root in the barren soil of their hearts, and together, they learn to heal, to give love, and to receive it.

Alongside them, Nhật — Quang’s energetic and passionate assistant — lights up every room he enters. Yet beneath his cheerful exterior lies a tendency to trust too easily and to give away his heart too quickly. After enduring several failed relationships, Nhật still yearns for a grand, fairytale-like love. However, his reckless approach, offering intimacy before trust, often leads him astray. Fate answers his longing when Hoàng — an amateur actor and Minh’s friend — unexpectedly gets pulled into Quang’s chaotic household.

Through both accidental and intentional encounters, a quiet, tender bond forms between Nhật and Hoàng. In small, warm gestures, they comfort and heal one another. Hoàng gently helps Nhật awaken from his misguided pursuit of love, teaching him to cherish himself rather than waiting for a prince to grant him salvation.

Four young men, one little boy — each carrying unique stories, scars, and dreams — come together under one roof, perfectly completing each other’s frames. Within this shared space, they paint a tapestry of life filled with laughter and tears, of wounds and healing, but above all, of profound humanity.

A Note from the Director

This is a very special project for me. Unlike my previous works that carried heavier drama, this series feels gentler and more intimate — like a slice of everyday life. It tells the story of a single father and a young man, two strangers who gradually build and nurture a home together. I believe this reflects the deep longing of many in the LGBT community: to have a family, a place to return to, a safe space to call home. For me, The Snail Fairy is filled with memories, warmth, and the simple hope of love and belonging.
