Thesis Short Film: Special Day

Hi! Our names are Trinity and Nyah, two women of color that are currently studying film at Cal State Monterey Bay, and we're looking to fundraise for our final student project!

Your donations will help towards costs of production (props, wardrobe, etc.) and equipment costs.

The purpose of Special Day is to take the audience to a moment in time in which they felt the most whole and full of life, not carrying the worry or responsibilities of adulthood. The film follows a character through her journey of introspection, and the fulfillment that she feels when she allows herself to live freely, spending her birthday as she would as a child, and finding comfort in independence. The film deals with the dichotomy between then and now; who you were and who you will be, as well as your wants and the wants of people around you.

We hope that Special Day can reach every kind of audience, and we want them to feel encouraged to connect to their inner child through this film. Thank you for your time! <3
