After achieving honors in regional and state tournaments, Post Elementary School’s Shooting Stars have earned the right to compete in Destination Imagination Global Finals to be held May 23-26 in Knoxville, Tennessee attended by 8,000 students comprising more than 1,400 teams from over 15 countries.
We are incredibly proud of our Post Elementary Shooting Stars. Participation in Global Finals presents the team with the challenge of raising $3,000 to cover travel costs. CyFair ISD has provided some funding to each team to offset the registration costs, and we have raised some money through the generosity of business sponsors, but we still need help!
The Post Elementary Shooting Stars will compete in the Engineering Challenge, Drop Zone. This is one of DI’s seven open-ended challenges requiring students to apply science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), in addition to their talents in improvisation, theater arts, writing, project management, communication, innovation, and teamwork — all skills needed to succeed in an ever-changing world.
We hope you will consider supporting our team. Your help will not only directly benefit the students, but also will earn the attention and deep appreciation of our families, friends, and the Post Elementary community. Contributions in any amount are very much appreciated.
On behalf of the team, families, teachers and staff at Post Elementary, thank you for your consideration.
