When a beloved dog vanishes, every passing minute can feel like an eternity for their family. Panic sets in. The fear of the unknown grows. And in rural or difficult terrain, the search can quickly become overwhelming. That’s where I step in — using drone technology to bring lost dogs home faster and safer.
About Me
Hi, I’m Adrian. I volunteer my time to help search for missing dogs using drone technology, covering Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, and Berkshire. This is a completely free service I offer to dog owners who are often in distress — especially when their pets go missing in rural, hard-to-search areas.
I’m part of a wider volunteer network, Drone SAR for Lost Dogs UK, dedicated to reuniting dogs with their families. Now, I’m reaching out to ask for your support to expand the tools I have available for this vital work.
Why I'm Fundraising
I’m aiming to raise £5,910 to purchase a DJI Matrice 4T — a professional-grade drone with advanced thermal imaging, powerful zoom, and exceptional search capabilities. This technology will greatly improve my ability to locate lost dogs, particularly in:
- Dense woodland
- Tall grass or open fields
- Low-visibility conditions such as fog or nighttime
At present, I rely on limited equipment. With your help, I can provide faster, more accurate, and more effective responses when families are in urgent need.
Why the DJI Matrice 4T?
The Matrice 4T is equipped with high-resolution thermal sensors that detect body heat — even in darkness, heavy cover, or poor weather. Its real-time video feed and powerful zoom allow for precise, low-impact searches that reduce stress on animals and improve recovery rates.
In addition, the Matrice 4T offers key features that make it invaluable for search and rescue operations:
- Automated area tracking — records which zones have already been scanned, ensuring no ground is missed.
- Capability to attach high-intensity search lights for effective night-time operations.
