Therin & Endymion’s FIP Treatment

Hello friends. My name is Missi (mourningveil on ig) and I find myself here desperately pleading for help.

My kittens are sick and my heart a wreck.

Therin became ill almost 4 weeks ago with a very large distended belly and fever. After an emergency vet trip and a full run of tests and X-rays he was diagnosed with FIP, a deadly virus that was a death sentence until recently. His one chance at life comes in the form of a VERY expensive daily shot of antiviral drug GS-441524, given for a minimum 12 weeks, with many vet trips throughout to monitor his little body. We scrambled to get a hold of it, the cost pushing us to our limit, but within a few days of treatment his belly shrunk. His energy came back. It’s been night and day, and we started to have hope… Until the other shoe dropped.

His sister started exhibiting signs this week. We’ve just got back from the vet today with another FIP diagnosis. Every bank busting obstacle we’re against just DOUBLED, and all I want in the world is to see them live. They’re only babies. They deserve a chance.

These kittens have come into my life, and the life of my family, at a truly delicate time. We’ve experienced a string of devastating losses starting with the sudden death of my sister in 2021, and cascading through three beloved pets. We decided to welcome home two little 8 week babies in the aftermath of it all, and they’ve brought such light and laughter back into our house. They are our joy, the heart of our home, our family… I’ve been so powerless to stop Death circling me, I’m fighting for their life, but I need help. As hard as it is to ask for, I am pleading. Anything at all will help buy me a miracle for them, buy them a chance to live.
