Theresa Mason

Many of you may know this woman as your friendly Wawa register lady. She is always laughing, smiling, and having a good time, but there's so much more to her. This woman is a single mom, a role model, and a hero. Theresa puts out a positive vibe to everyone she meets. She has given my three sisters and I a great life, but she has worked herself to the bone doing it. She has struggled so hard and she has done everything she could for us, but still has never been able to catch a break. She is in the process of getting out of a very emotionally abusive relationship and is trying to get back on her feet. However every time she turns around, she hits another problem. She already had to get one knee replaced because of how hard she works and she also has no cartilage in her feet. The pain had gotten so bad that she finally had to get her foot fixed. Her surgery has left her out of work for three months. (Previously, she avoided this surgery because of the significant pay loss. However, the surgery was finally a must, unfortunately.) Since she lives paycheck to paycheck, being out of work is immensely affecting her. Her other foot also needs surgery as soon as possible, which requires her to be out of work for yet another couple of months. On top of that, she needs a second knee replacement. No matter what she does, her body is beginning to fail her more and more, but she can't stop working to go get it fixed. Being one of her daughters, it is hard to sit back and watch this. I am currently working three jobs to pay school loans and help cover the bills. It's getting to be a lot to handle and if I have to watch my mom lose the house she has fought for and slaved over, it will be devastating to all of us. Even after going through a horrible divorce and terrible situation after terrible situation beyond her control, my mom hasn't given up. She hasn't walked away from her kids. She hasn't let these situations destroy her. My mom deserves the time to let her body heal without constant financial worry. I want her to be around for when my sisters and I have kids. I am asking for help so that next Christmas we can give Theresa the gift of financial peace of mind. Please help take care of the woman who has taken care of us all. I am aiming to pay off some of her mortgage by Christmas of next year. Please help me to help my mom. She deserves this.
