Theresa Figueroa mother of 5 beautiful girls, grandmother and wife of over 25 years. If you knew my mother you knew how strong, independent and caring she was. She was always about family and keeping us sisters together. It was important for her to put time and love into her grandchildren. She taught us that no matter what family is never broken. Her house was always open to us all and our friends. She is the glue to this whole family.
On Sunday May 13th Mothers Day
My mother suffered traumatic injury to her head. 911 was immediately called and she was rushed to the hospital. By the time she got there her injury had taken a turn for the worst and was rushed into surgery, the doctors weren't sure she would make it. With everyone's prayers she got through the surgery and into recovery but she kept getting worse with her injury swelling it started to take a toll on her brain. Her injury grew worse and her health started to rapidly decline from monday to tuesday. By then the doctors feared the worst and started to run test on her health and brain activity. On Thursday my family received the worst news, our mother had suffered lots of brain damage. The doctors did all they could and ran every test possible but to no avail she had slowly gone.
Sunday May 20th in the afternoon our beautiful mother was laid to rest in peace leaving many loved ones with broken hearts. She left this world to be healed and walk with God and our lord Jesus Christ.
And so we ask our loved ones, family and friends to give us a helping hand. This has been so hard on us especially for our loving father who has never felt a greater heart break losing his beloved wife. Please help us get through this and to give our mother the beautiful funeral, so that we may say goodbye but only till we meet her again one day in the kingdom of God. Losing our mother has been the hardest thing this family has ever faced but having all our loved ones there has made this just that much easier to get through and so I thank you and wish that God May bless you all.
