Theresa M. Baker, a cherished soul known for her vibrant spirit and nurturing heart, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, in Gainesville, VA. Born on September 13, 1950, in Chicago, IL, Theresa's life was a testament to love, family, and the simple joys that make life beautiful.

A proud graduate of Reavis High School in Burbank, IL, Theresa carried the values of hard work and dedication throughout her life. Her Catholic faith was a cornerstone, providing her with strength and guidance, and she lived her beliefs through acts of kindness and compassion that touched everyone she met.

Theresa's love knew no bounds, especially when it came to her family. She is survived by her loving daughter, Katherine Baker; her adored granddaughter, Izabella Urpsis, whom she affectionately called Izzy; her devoted brother, Thomas Petrouski; her caring sister-in-law, Susan Petrouski; and her beloved sister, Pat Kramarsky. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Robert Kramarsky, but fond memories of their time together continue to live in the hearts of those who knew them. Theresa's numerous nieces and nephews also held a special place in her heart, each of them cherishing the moments they shared with their dear aunt.

Theresa's zest for life was evident in her various interests and hobbies. An avid traveler, she relished in the opportunity to explore new places and cultures, always returning with stories and souvenirs for her loved ones. A voracious reader, she could often be found with a book in hand, lost in other worlds and adventures. Her love for excitement extended to the occasional trip to the casino, where she enjoyed the thrill of chance and the camaraderie of fellow players.

No visit to Chicago was complete without Theresa stopping by to see her friends and family, her presence a joyous occasion that would light up any room. At home, she pampered her chickens and her beloved dog, Stella, providing them with love and care that only Theresa could give. But perhaps the most cherished moments were those spent with her granddaughter Izzy, where she poured her love and wisdom into their precious time together.

Theresa's legacy is one of unconditional love, laughter, and the importance of family. She lived a life rich in experiences and relationships, and her memory will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we bid farewell to Theresa M. Baker, we hold tight to the memories and the indelible mark she left on our lives. Her spirit, though no longer in our midst, will forever be a guiding light to all who loved her.
