There's a reason she's been our friend for 40+ yrs

Our dear friend since childhood, Laura Connolly, always first in line to offer assistance to anyone in her orbit who may need it, now desperately needs help for her own family. Laura’s husband is in the end stages of cancer and has recently begun hospice care. Laura has worked lengthy hours at a job requiring her to be on her feet all day, (in addition to constant lifting and bending), in spite of serious chronic back problems that leave her in intense and constant pain. She has always been an incredibly hard worker, all in service to her family and all without complaint. As her husband has been unable to work in quite some time, Laura has been the sole source of support for her children (with a daughter's college still to be paid for). Laura has used all her vacation and sick time to care for her dying husband, and has had to dip into their meager savings to pay for everyday essentials along with the past due bills.
Her husband’s lengthy illness has resulted in huge medical bills and co-pays not covered by their health insurance. For the most part, he has been in the hospital since Thanksgiving and the tremendous medical bills continue to pile up. Our friend Laura has always been a “gives you the shirt off her back” type of person, never failing to go out of her way to help someone else in need. In spite of her dire circumstances, she was still opposed to a GoFundMe page, as she always feels there are others more needy than herself. We, her good friends for all these years, know just how deserving she really is, and how much her family truly needs the help. As we do not have a large social media presence, we ask that you share this appeal with as many people as possible in the hopes that we may raise enough money to help pay these medical bills and ease Laura’s financial burden at this tremendously difficult time. Any help you could give would be incredibly appreciated.
