My heart is broken!

There is a crisis in the California desert! I, like many others, am appalled by the situation so I decided to make a positive change. Homeless dogs are roaming the streets or chained to fences or dumped in shelters.

Those shelters are overcrowded and are euthanizing healthy and adoptable animals at an alarming rate. Independent rescues are suffering from lack of space, food and other necessities to care for their dogs.

Enter Ari’s Place, a very different kind of dog sanctuary. We exist to meet specific community needs with targeted programs.

THE NEXT CHAPTER rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes needy dogs so that they may spend the rest of their lives nurtured in a loving, safe environment.

MILITARY MUTTZ provides temporary foster care for canine companions of deployed service personnel so they do not have to surrendered their dog when there is no responsible person to care for it.

SENIORS 4 SENIORS pairs older folks with senior dogs creating comfort, purpose and meaningful, loving bonds.

RESCUE FOR RESCUES provides short-term support for rescues experiencing difficult times or limited space.

Ari’s Place takes seriously its responsibility within the community to give aid to dog owners and their dogs whenever and however possible.

We have recently completed extensive repairs to the main house and now need to renovate our double garage to accommodate more dogs and to provide an ADA restroom as required by the County.
