WHY THIS STORY MATTERS:
Although this film is set almost 40 years ago, it is a simple yet effective story about the universal themes of connection and rekindling relationships along with young love and appreciating someone for who they really are. These concepts are still relevant today, especially for younger people.
Losing old friends because of growing apart with social cliques is heartbreaking, which is something everyone can relate to.
