High school is a hard time for many students, let alone LGBTQ+ students struggling to navigate high school in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama.
The Oasis Center in Nashville, TN offers a broad spectrum of programs to help young people find their strengths, use their skills, and break down barriers. One of these incredibly important programs is Just Us . Dedicated to helping LGBTQ+ teens be their authentic selves, the Just Us program creates a welcome and safe place that empowers youth with tools to safely navigate the world around them.
Mental health care isn’t always a budgeted expense, and Just Us is committed to offering quality counseling services for youth and families seeking assistance related to gender identity and/or sexual orientation. Just Us' therapist provides group, family, and individual counseling, as well as referrals to medical providers, legal assistance, and other providers as needed.
70% of the teens in the Just Us program have seriously considered suicide.
30% of these teens have actually attempted suicide.
It is extremely important for teens to have access to mental health care and Just Us is doing just that, but they need your help.
The CAA LGBT Alliance and CMT invite you to make a donation to help fund a full time therapist at The Oasis Center for the Just Us program. This therapist will provide counseling services to LGBTQ+ teens and their families free of charge! 100% of your donation will go to securing free mental health care for the teens of Just Us.
Donate. Share. Help us meet our goal to provide another year of free therapy to students like Avery and Dee and Natalia.
