Therapy for Chase
Donation protected
We have been blessed to have had many people in our life who have helped our son, Chase, to grow into the energetic, loving person he is today despite having been diagnosed with autism, and sensory and auditory processing disorders. We will be forever grateful for the countless hours the many therapists, teachers, and family/friends have given to help our son succeed to his greatest potential. Today though we face a challenge that makes us most vunerable and to a small part desperate for help. We recently met with a specialist at an eating disorder clinic. Our son's lack of diet/proper nutrition is impacting his ability to focus in the classroom. The eating disorder clinic stated that they would not be able to accept him in their program until he received behavioral therapy to give him the most potential for success. After research, I discovered that although Florida requires insurance companies to pay for ABA therapy, it is not a requirement if you have an individual policy. As parents, we will do anything and everything for our children. I have faith that although things seem impossible now that somehow this goal will be reached and we can again take steps forward in this journey of allowing our son to reach and grow as high as he wants to. I know there are many, many people out there in an even more dire situations than ours. I am just a mom with a son and a belief that although a door may be shut God will always open another. Please help me find that door.
